I ordered, albeit a bit late in the day Wednesday, a set of front brake pad for My STi7. The pads arrived Thursday but were wrong but sh*te happens. No quibbling, No "I'll get back to you", No "you order the wrong ones","Not my fault " Jamie put another set in post arrived this morning and now fitted
My piont being the manner and effeciency in which the problem was handled makes a good buisness, great

Tony,
Could you please help me, I had a service done 2 weeks ago and was informed that my front brakes will need replacing next service, the thing is I feel that I could possibly get better pads for my money than what the dealer will fit, now here comes the hard bit, all I know about my brakes is they are the big red caliper ones that go onto the 22b's the dealer fitted them for free when I bought the car 2 yrs ago, any help and advice would be greatly apprciated.
Cheers
Colin

Russ,
Ferodo Ds2500 and were very good just got to do tyhe backs now
Colin,
Not very good at remembering anything me numbers names I would guess and only a guess....... The brakes are Four pots simular to Late MY99's- MY00's and Nissan 300zx (ferodo part no FCP986H for DS2500) THE metal backing plate size are approx 65mm X 120mm . good pads are going to cost around £130. but it really depends what your doing with the car?
Generally For very high speed track work and putting loads of heat into the pads you have a very hard pad but may not stop you very quickly at low speeds when cold. ie in traffic in town then at the other end off the scale a very soft pad would stop on a sixpence at low speed freezin cold but would burn up after 3 laps. STD Subaru pads are not a bad high speed road pad and low speed track the DS2500 seem to be good at both. IMHO ASFIR
Speak to someone like Jamie JW Racing / TSL they be more helpfull there was a site somewhere which showed pictuers of pads so you could compare.
