Question

After subscribing to the WRX engine noise thread in the general forum, is there anyone who can tell me what MY's were affected by the cambelt hydraulic tensioner problem? I have suspicions regarding my 99MY, however, the noise is noticable only when the engine is fully hot at idle and I'm not even sure it's the tensioner, it may just be a characteristic sound.

Dont think this problem ascertains to a particular "MY", it is simply a replacement tensioner if sounding noisey.

Unhappy

I guess it's just a case of taking it in to a dealer and letting them listen (then going away and doing the job myself)
Cheers guys JohnD
