I think the only thing the iphone did to change the game was the app store as getting a game for a phone before that was a ball ache.

Pointless thread.

Also, you should be thanking Jony Ive not Steve Jobs.

Why pointless, it's the anniversary today and it affected all of us.

I might dig up a thread. Me saying you're looking at the future and some tit saying the mighty Blackberry will never be toppled, LOL.

Didn't affect me one bit.

I love Apple products, I pretty much have one of everything, but because they do what I want, not because I'm a fanboy or Steve Jobs lover.

It's a known fact Steve Jobs stole most of the ideas from the start, even passing off Jony Ive's idea's as his own.

As I said, if you want to thank someone for the iPhone thank Jony.

I don't care if Steve being CEO could have stopped it or not, Jony's idea, Jony's vision, Jony's design, end of.

Doesn't matter if I use an iPhone or not, I wouldn't be thanking Steve Jobs for anything.

This is just a fanboy thread.

See that mouse, that's another Apple first. Funnily enough a friend showed me his original Macintosh, complete with travel case, very rare indeed.

It's affected me as much as any mobile phone would, I can make calls, f**kall to do with Steve Jobs.

Start a thread about anything you like, this thread was / is an "I love Apple / Steve Jobs soooo much I wish I could have his babies fanboy thread".

I like Apple products, I own Apple products, I use Apple products everyday, that doesn't make want to *** all over my screen and start a fanboy thread.

WOW, some mind you have there. What on earth made you think about semen?

Personally I have no problem giving praise, you should try it some time, it might take your mind off of ejaculate.

Praise and being a fanboy are entirely different things.

OK, so how do I give praise to Apple without you going off on a Fanboi rant?

Don't start the thread in the first place, say it out loud in your house.

Or if you really have the urge, at least give the correct credit where it's due. "Thanks Jony, love the iPhone."

I post as a reply, simple.

Bottom line, this thread serves no purpose other than to prove your status as an Apple fanboy.

Thanks Steve.
Steve didn't give us the iphone, Sir Jonathan Ive did along with the ipod. Steve gave us marketing hype to improve sales and got all the Apple Fanbois onboard.

No, this thread was to mark an anniversary, there are thousands of threads just the same. Now if you think any thread giving credit where credit is due is a Fanboy thread, then that's your problem not mine.

It bumps my thread so I don't mind.

You can't just make up history. As much as I love Sir Jonny, he's was just the Monkey dancing whilst Steve was grinding the organ.

From Wikipedia...

Development of what was to become the iPhone began in 2004, when Apple started to gather a team of 1000 employees to work on the highly confidential "Project Purple",[22] including Sir Jonathan Ive, the designer behind the iPhone.[23] Apple CEO Steve Jobs steered the original focus away from a tablet, like the iPad, and towards a phone.

The key point there is that Steve decided this should be a phone not a tablet. Happy?

Of course he did, as said Jobs was a plagarist plain and simple. Apple products are great, you can use them with jumping on the Jobs fanboy bandwagon.

"Both Jobs and Ive were named by Fortune as among the smartest people in technology. In giving Jobs top honors among all CEOs, the magazine referred to him as a "visionary, a micromanager, and a showman." Naming Ive as the top designer in technology, Fortune credited him as the person who created the iPhone and said that "from the iPod to the iPhone to the iPad, his contributions have set the course not just for Apple but for design more broadly."

Jobs was at the helm, Jobs gets credit, simple. Why you're so Anti Steve I don't understand, let the man rest in peace.

Understand that I in no way mean to take away from Sir Jonny's brilliance as a designer, his designs are incredible, but just as marketing doesn't make a product neither does the way it looks.
