Default Sony Action Cam HDRAS15 help

Righty,

Im trying to install the play memories software and half way through installation it keeps saying that the network connection has been lost and it cannot install, now my internet connection is fine, so what on earth is going on?

Secondly, the charging usb lead, i put it in the side of my laptop and nothing seems to happen! Can read the data on the camera, but not charging indication, any ideas again people?

Apparently sony include a Pdf version of the instruction manual accessible via USB stored on the camera. That might help.

Right, it now seems to be fixed,

First impressions arent too great, stuggles with the brightness of the video,

I have it roll cage mounted between the two front seats, and all the noise it picks up is the fuel pump, and when transitioning between shade (under trees to bright light out of the trees) the screen just goes white until it adjusts.

Now would altering the frames from 30fps to 60 or 120 help?

Or should i bring it further in to the front of the car? maybe dash mounted?

Hi there

Altering frames seems you can use 60 or 120FPS only in slow motion(as per manual)

Not sure what you mean with the brightness, you are probably mean WB(White Balance),which is set to auto, new FW(Firmware) is out, which can helps with the better performance or hope so will helps

Yes similar issue we have with GoPro when GoPro pickup the noise from 044 fuel pump/swirl pot, most people using external mounted microphone, which can helps with better sound

Yes you can try bring camera further to front of the car and you will see if sound and quality is better or is the same

As we are tried several settings and several mounting positions

Yes mate it goes a "bright white" colour when emerging from the shade of trees etc. I assume it is due to the fact it is in the back of a tintted window car etc that the contrast is alot between inside and outside

inside the car is visible at all times, the outside comes and goes dpeending on light levels, so im hoping moving it to a brighter positon might help?
