Default New phone contract that has signal booster option or can call over wifi

None of the networks have reliable coverage here and my wife is looking for a new contract as she keeps dropping business calls with T mobile.

What providers can supply a signal booster with a new contract or better still let you use your mobile number and allowance over wifi - I came across this ability on some phones but can't remember what they called it. It would give better coverage than a single signal booster so is preferred even though it means a new phone.

500 mins would do.

Vodafone is useless as you will need to make sure you can carry that signal booster with you I have been with a few mobile phone carriers and Vodafone has to be the worst for reception anywhere that I have been and the internet with them is even worse.

No, he needs a sure signal at his home as he has no decent signal there. It hooks up to his Broadband and gives him a cell at home (or rather his wife).

Been with Vodafone for years and not had any issues elsewhere.

Sooooo what is your alternate suggestion?

I know he needs it at home I'm just saying Voda signal is that bad he will have to carry the booster with him when out to get a signal You can't go wrong with a landline and they have been around for years so call divert from mobile to home phone.

What is Vodafone sure signal like getting through stone walls where WiFi can't unless you use repeaters?

Orange do UMA but only a reducing number of phones support it.

O2 do an app Tu go which is poorly reviewed and integrated, but seems to be the only other WiFi option.

BT don't seem to have good value mobile calling packages to tempt us to use land line, nearly every call is to a mobile.

My sister got a signal booster from the Three network, so they also provide them. This plugs into the wifi router and routes her mobile calls over the internet when she is at home. Each device has to be registered with three, otherwise anyone could use the cell.

We left Three before as they refused to supply one, as do EE now.

Trying to weight up a Nexus 4 SIM free with 8GB if comes back into stock and an O2 SIM only for £21 unlimited mins and Tu go, or keep 2 year old Motorola Atrix (she only uses phone, text, email) and get Vodafone SIM only with Sure Signal.

Tu go would use all our WiFi repeaters, would have to hope Vodafone sure signal really gets through all this stone, not confident because even radio doorbells and oil tank senders need very careful positioning!

I'll second every word of that, i just wish i could get out of my contact but they won't £400 as a settlement fee

The signal ive had from day one in various areas has been poor, like Steve says the internet is even worse. This is the funny part, as a gesture of good will they give me unlimited internet access for 3mths, thats like giving someone a free car without any petrol.

Read some reviews that rubbish Sure Signal unless you live in a little cardboard house.

Tu Go on O2 works brilliantly. It even roams between WiFi access points hanging onto the call, works on tablets and Win 7 too.
