I think the white edition is basically the Hd hero 2 with wifi.

They do:
White - the original gopro but with wifi
Silver - the gopro2 but with wifi
Black - the one you actually want!

Looks like a good price.

They are a great piece of kit, but the battery life isn't great - especially with WiFi on for the remote.

I spent another reasonable chunk of cash on the extended battery & various mounts.
