Worthless stats imo. Much more interesting to see market breakdown by manufacturer or even model.

I sit in both camps as I have an android phone (S3) and an android tablet (Nexus 7) and an ipad 2 so no allegiance to any side. However as tablets go nothing gets close to my ipad.

IOS is only on 2 tablets from Apple, ipad and ipad mini yet there are tens if not over a hundred by now android tablets many of which are real budget models that aren't comparable to the upper end of the market.

So i'd say Apple having 28% still is a very impressive chunk with only 2 models.

Show me the stats by device and i'll be interested to see Ipad vs all the different Samsung Tabs and Asus Nexus 7 & 10 and all the others...

In other news, hatchbacks outsell BMW 5 series....

The market is flooded with really cheap Android tablets, 95% of which will be rubbish, but sell because they're so cheap. The screens on them will be extremely poor, as will the battery life.
The only cheap Android tablet worth buying is the Nexus. The new 7 looks really good for the money and may be my first tablet purchase. Battery life is still no where near the iPad though.
