Fancy a PDA. It has to be fairly robust - want to keep it in a jacket pocket kinda thing without being too worried about light knocks etc. I don't need to spend a fortune, it doesn't have to run MPEGS etc.
I want one thats easy to use, intuitive..I'd like to get a pair so the woman and I can both synch with each other (diaries etc)
Any suggestions? And a good place to buy?
Txs v much

Wasn't somebody selling on on here a few days ago?

I'd go for an iPaq - been looking at them myself. I can't justify it, 'cos I'm moving house and already have a cool subnotebook.

Thumbs up

You might want to try the handspring range: http://www.handspring.co.uk

Good price / sturdy / easy to use / infra-red sync with another device... lots of models to choose from...

iPAQ is overkill, moderate price £500? Blimey you lot must be rich LOL! Must be some fairly capable stuff around £200?
Will look at Handspring.

Cool

Motorola Accompli A008 phone/pda jobby.

I've a pre-release model & it is surprisingly easy to use. Allows emails, wap, diaries etc etc & syncs with a laptop or PC. Uses GPRS so faster d/load & is at least dual-band poss tri - can't remember.

It does depend on what you actually want it for.

For example, I use my mobile phone as a PDA (it's a Siemens S45). I can read/send emails using WAP over GPRS - it works very well. I can organise my contacts and sync 'em with my outlook ones. I can set reminders for appointments and use it as an alarm. And I can make notes and stuff in it and even record voice memos which I can copy to my PC as wav files.

So unless you're doing a great deal more than the above, you may not need a PDA. And if you are doing more, then you'll probably end up wanting an iPaq.

That would have been me that was selling my ipaq.....

My Lovely Just Purchased Ipaq 3850 And Goodies

I was getting some hilarious offers on here, so put it on Ebay.

I want £400 for Everything and it looks like it is going to be that anyway Let me know if you are interested.

As for them being too big for Pockets, I disagree and would also take one of these over a Handspring any day. Our company Has Handspring, Palm, Acer and Compaq units and all but the compaq units are gathering dust now...

Cheers,

Nick

£400 still way too much for me, though a fair price for the package.
Gonna play with a palm m130 thing and a Handspring - £225 vs £150, to see whats what.
