Question

HP Pavilion 790, windows xp.

Boot the computer up, open up outlook express, and I am promted for a password. I enter the password, and tick remember password.

If close outlook express then open it again, I have to re-enter the password again.

Tried Acounts, properties, servers and ticking remember password, but it doesn't remember it.

Hello

Are you logging on to Windows/XP?

The remember passwords bit only usually works if associated with a logon. I might be wrong, but that's how it worked with previous versions of windows....

Hello

Then you need to create a logon ... anything will do, you don't even have to give it a password.

IIRC you also have to connect once after ticking 'remember password' for it to work
