Recovering contacts on android phone
For some reason wouldn't connect wifi other week, so had to do full reset, I thought saving data.
I'm sure I'm minus several numbers now though, searched phone sim and sd card. Cant connect to computer cos that's gone fut as well.
It's Sony Ray if that makes any difference.
Any other ideas?

Should all be synced with your Google Mail account so if you can find a computer to log into that and figure out what maybe missing. Whilst I think that is more or less the default you can create contacts that are just stored on the phone / SIM and not synced with your Google account so maybe you've done that for some of your contacts?

You should consider moving to iOS and OSX, the handholding that people moan about includes backing up your data. It's a chore on Windows and Android.

Contacts, pictures, email you name it.
I recently upgraded the rom on my htc one, didn't have to do a thing to get it back the way it was.
Granted you lose game saves, but you can always back those up anyway.
Actually come to think of it you shouldn't lose those, as the recent google play upgrade includes cloud based game saving amongst other things.

You can only recover your contacts if they are saved as "Google Contacts". Whenever you get a new (android) phone you should set that to the default and never worry about contact numbers again.
If they were saved as SD Card contacts and you never did an export, i don't even know if you can get them back. I doubt it.

tbh I only use my phone for texting and phoning and the odd picture, so its no different to me than my s2 was.
id have kept the s2 as I really liked it but my contract was up so they gave me an s4 for free (yes I know its not technically free but my monthly bill stayed the same) and I sold my s2 on egay for £150.
it has got a lot of features im sure ill never use and the screen looks better but the best thing about it is I can keep pointing out to emma her s3 is outdated
