Having seen how well my wife's and son's Galaxy S3 case has stood the test of time in comparison to my daughter's I5, then I would have no hesitation in having a Samsung phone with a so called plastic case.

Hey I may not like Apple as much as the others, but we have to be at least honest, and the Iphone is a quality product.

Between ios and Android the choice is personal preference nothing else.

Gotta laugh though as half the apple hatters have never had an iPhone.

The galaxy is prob great but as stated the software is the key, when I went to android I just didn't like it. Just not as smooth so went back to apple

exactly that why i've owned one since the 2, i didnt want to turn it into an apple thread so hence i said i'd prefer the htc.

I've had a good chance to play with it and first impressions are... WOW!! So much of a brighter, colourful screen, sharper display! The apps are quicker, more responsive and just better to use! The camera is fantastic, much crisper photos !

The upgradable memory is a massive plus too, 64Gb card means I can transfer it between my phone and Tab very easily!

Sure it does what the iPhone can do, just better, faster and on a crisper screen

Bigger lol but for internet and games its much better having the larger screen! Don't notice it my pocket as much as the iPhone, which could be taken either way really!

i went in to CPW and checked the htc out as that was the one that has turned my head the most from ios i like the power of the s4 over the htc. but i will be making my decision once i know what the 5s or 6 has to offer and ios7 brings.

mervil can you upload some photos so i can check the quality of the camera , some low light one and close ups?

Do you mind doing a bit of more indepth "review" Mervil, pinning it against the iPhone?

I have a 4 and gotta be honest, I love it. It does whatever I need it to do. I have a couple of contracts and both have gone past the renewal stage (for upgrade) ages ago, so I have some choices as to what to do next. I was personally going to wait for the 5s, but maybe persuaded to go to something else if it's so much better..... for me something else would need to be "that much better" for me to swap out. It's the main reason why I kept with the 4 if I'm being honest, as nothing appeared to worth upgrading to... not even the 5.

comparing it a 4 will be night and day , 4s/5 would probably a closer match to make it an equal comparison

I'd be surprised if it's "night and day" objectively, especially as I see no "real" reason to even upgrade to a 5 from my 4.

the 4s is slightly quicker , but i've skipped on the 5 not worth the money , i noticed improvement from 4 to the 4s but thats just my opinion

I have had a play with a 5 tbh didn't think there was much difference to my 4, granted it was quicker but not enough for me to want to change and start 2 years with it!

My 4 was slow, I had reset it a few times as I'd got to the point of
selecting something and it wouldn't respond for anywhere from a few seconds up to 10secs or it would just throw me out of the app altogether! Mrs Merv's is the same too and it's much newer than mine!

Something isn't right there then. I've had my 4 since launch and have pages of apps. I do all sorts of things on it and never had any speed / response issues.
