VMware upgrade manager and baselines.
Are any of you experts on this? I can't seem to work something out.
I need to upgrade 32 HP Blades from ESX 4.0 to ESXi 5.1. This in itself is not a problem provided the blades are less than G6. I have created the ESXi install baseline and it works fine, however for G7 and G8 blades you need to install some specific drivers for the netwok and disks. This is easy when installing manually but how do I include the specific drivers into my install baseline? I have the drivers as a seperate .iso and during manual install it asks you if you need to install any drivers then you unmount the install .iso mount the driver .iso and install. Then remount the install .iso.
I am looking at the documentation for baselines and thought it was an extension baseline I need but using the baseline creation wizard doesn't help, it has its own set of drivers and filters I can use.
If anyone can explain in idiot terms I would appreciate it massively.
Cheers
