I have the 920...it is a very nice slick phone. But quite heavy compared to others. It also has a very sensitive screen so quite easy to catch it and press something by mistake. Nice screen, very responsive, has all the apps I need in the store, works well with the Microsoft apps, office etc.

Hope this helps.

Mrs loves hers. Must admit, I quite like it as well, but I'm stuck with a Blueberry.

I took the 820 instead of the 920.
I like it, 820 is slightly less heavy and not just as bulky

The win 8 phone os is supposed to be very good. Myself and a colleague played with an 820 in the shop the other day, both having iPhones, and both of us thought it was very nice.

I have both as I've been working with Nokia for the last 6 months on a client project.

I use daily the 920 but I also have an 820 which is as good. So benefits

920 has closed case no swapping, it has a slightly better camera with motion control and other gimmicks but nothing major, that's it ooo and screen is slightly bigger

820 is good and can be upgraded via sd card 920 can't, so you can have over 64 gig

Wireless charging is good and the Bluetooth is far superior to apples stack, ie volume is correct and no stuttering from Bluetooth control one of apples faults

Bit like like saying that your electric toothbrush has wireless charging.

works as instructed much easier thank Plugging it in

Come to think of it I rem my 15 year old Orab B did this, the technology must have moved on to cater for large capacity batt.

check this its whats coming, for people like me with Ipad Iphones etc, Its the way forward.

and Samsung are doing just that

having read up on the Lumia 820 on Amazon it sounds like that phone has some issues like you cant select a piece of music as a message notification, it doesnt have a visual indicator to show you have missed a call and you cant get a free App to track you data usage so you can incure extra charges by going over you tarriff limit plus there are mixed comments about email that isnt on an exchange server

anyone with 920 know if these issues are true with that hand set?

My 920 does it all

I use a Bluetooth headset daily with mine and I see who called me, as this isn't a feature of the phone more of windows mobile 8, not too sure on the ringtones, but I'm sure you can because my work mate changed mine to gangam style, I,ll check the 820 letter this week when I'm home for you if you like.

Re music notifications - you can do this, but you must edit the clip beforehand
You just can't point it at an mp3 and expect it to work.

920 - don't know if it has the same issue or not

any one know if Microsoft issues software updates to sort out bugs etc or do they leave you high and dry unless you buy a new phone with the next version of windows on?

Yes they do, windows 8 mobile is also based on the NT kernel, quite like windows 8

Windows 7.8 (mango ) can't be upgraded to 8 as 8 needs differing hardware, hence why the lumia 900 etc cannot be uplifted

I've had a few updates to mine, but as of yet have yet to find any so called bug,

If anybody knows of any shout, I have both the 920 and 820 I can test for you.
