Youtube subscribers - scammers ?

Youtube subscribers - scammers ?
I have been getting a few subscribers to my channel recently , but they have no uploaded videos or no other input othrr than subscribing to my channel. Is there just people out there that watch videos but never upload , or it it spam/scam of some sort ? I mean i dont have anything exciting on there , so dont know why im the only one they are interested in.

Or most likely, as mentioned, someone has come across a video you've uploaded and liked what they saw so have subscribed.
