Default AV advice please

Hey guys,

Need some advice from any hard core AV geeks...!

I'm looking to bin Sky+ for a Freesat PVR. I also want a Blu-Ray/DVD player.

I've discounted the combined units due to poor reviews about functionality so I've decided to buy separately.

Mrs wants catch up tv and Netflix, etc and I want similar if not identical functionality to Sky. I know this might not be possible so I'm provisionally looking at the following:

Humax Freesat+ HDR 1000S 1TB
LG BD650 Blu Ray & DVD player

Anyone using this equipment already and care to review or anyone know enough to comment...?

Thanks in advance,

Bri.

Human freesat in my professional opinion is the best you can get.

Bluray they are a pretty much tv same , but can't go wrong with panasonic players
