Isn't this good news? An Apple iMac clone that will retail at half the price. Sounds good to me

Honestly I would much rather people used an iMac clone than some of the monstrosities I see people build on here with neon flashing lights.

Saying that I bet that HP has a really bright blue LED that would have me throwing it through the window.

The Trackpad will be awful to use without the gestures built-in to OSX.

i hear Apple are going after the estate of Alexander Graham Bell because he used the word "phone" in his invention. As one of the commenters said after the blog - "you don't eff with the Apple Legal Team". I think HP are going to regret releasing these.

Its a monitor with windows 8 on it whats the big deal. The picture is obviously taken from someones house so that is how they choose to make thier pc look.

You don't think that combination of Keyboard, Trackpad and Monitor with built in PC looks in any way familiar?

Yeah Sony did one years ago. The combo isn't really the issue, it is the blatent copying of look and feel imho. At last Apple might have a genuine case for a lawsuit.

They won't bother with this. Only the Fandroids believe that Apple sue over anything. You only have to look in Dixons to see the influence Apple design has had on the entire PC market. Ultrabooks anyone? Only Lenovo managed to make something that's not a MacBook Air Clone… and lovely it is too.

I think its absolutely hilarious.

Apple takes ideas from others, and other do the same. Except when others do it, people cry. Even Jobs said "Good artists copy, great artists steal. And we have always been shameless about stealing great ideas" when quoting Picasso.

If it makes people realise that Apple take this mick with their pricing then it can only be a good thing.

You're suckered in by the media as well. Apple are by no mean the most prolific litigator, they just get all the press because the haters have to hate.

Acer desktops look like HP desktops and Compaq destops. They have all copied someone. The first built in computer was a commodore so are apple copying them?

Sony tvs look iike LG, Samsung, Hitachi, Sharp etc etc. We all know what things look like so its hardly copying. All DSLR cameras look very similar as we all know what they look like.

**** me just imagine if Apple made a vacuum cleaner they would be sueing Hoover direct.

Look, there's copying and there's copying.

Here's an example from the car world.

Difference is, most of Apples patents were granted on things that had already been in existence for many years, and they then sue for those patents.

The fault is mainly with the US patent office tbh, they are granting patents on things that should never have been granted.
