Default Website building which is easiest

My wife wants to create a website for her running club, i see alot of companies who offer the domain name and software like 1and 1 etc. but just wanted to know, if anybody has any advice on whats crap and whats good

Failing that, if i was to just buy the domain, what the best nooby software one could buy and then upload.

I need really simple wizards etc
. Thanks

Buy the domain and use wordpress or joomla both free and learning the basics should be enough to get a decent little site running.

It's free for 50 users, not sure how big the running club is... but that's cheaper than your hosting and you don't need to spend hours a week running the thing.
