Default Firefox and Internet explorer losing focus ?

You can be typing away on either firefox or IE, you then have a quick look at your typing and half of it is missing due to the browser greying out and losing its focus. You have to keep clicking the page on a regular basis for the browser to stay active.

Any ideas whats the cause of this, maybe a flash update ? And is their a fix ?

Are you using a laptop with a touchpad?

Sometimes they can be very sensitive if you catch the pad with part of your hand - thus de-focussing where you are typing.

Touch wood i may have fixed this.

I ran a Kaspersky virus scan, that came up clean.

I then ran a Kaspersky vulnerability scan and that came up with a couple of minor issues, i followed the recommended auto fix and since i did that the web pages seem fine.

This is what it fixed:

Microsoft internet explorer: cache autocleanup is disabled on browser closing, recommended to be fixed.

Microsoft internet explorer: caching data received via protocol channel is enabled, recommended to be fixed.

Removable media autorun is enabled, recommended to be fixed.

Autorun from network drives is enabled, recommended to be fixed.

I don't see how any of those could have caused the symptoms you described, at least not on a PC that was otherwise working normally. Still, if it's done the job, mustn't grumble.

I wish it had done the job, on the very next boot it went back to normal, to say its frustrating is an under statement lol
