We've got am NT4 machine here that nobody knows the Administrator password for
Tried all the obvious passwords and tried leaving it blank.
Any other suggestions or sneaky hacks ?

no that what l0pht crack does... just does SMB packet capture... this only recovers the password hashes if I remember correctly...

If I remember correctly, doesn't the machine that you are running the software on need to be logged on as a user that has local admin rights on the remote machine(where password needs to be changed)

The program I have uses a Boot disk, and once booted up allows you to set the local admin password to whatever you like. Works with NT/2000

It will be the linux based boot floppy that directly rewrites the information.
Works 99% of the time... only problems is with specialised disk controllers where you cant access the drives.
