Thumbs up Releasing RAM in 32bit Windows 7

I came across a small application that allows all installed RAM to be usable in 32 bit Windows 7
32Bit RAM Patch.

I now have a full 4Gig of usable RAM after running this patch

I know some of the guys reckon it is BS , but I have checked system - 4 gig now installed , also confirmed with cpuid , PC tools and memtest. So effectively a 30% increase in RAM .
Laptop now has more "snap" , so I'd say it is a tweak worth exploring.

If you have a i945 or lower chipset, you are still screwed. Even with a 64bit OS.

Plus it goes on to say you cann make it use 8Gb?

Erm, are they just patching 32bit windows with a 64bit kernel.....basically making it win7 64bit....may as well have installed win7 64bit anyway (unless it was a OEM preinstall, which could come in handy)

You would of thought a billion pound company, with vast teams of people, some of the best minds in computing on the planet, would of come up with this and MS pushed it as an update? The site you linked to can't even build a proper website.

If you go into regedit, you can get Windows to display whatever amount of memory you like, it is a registry hack, nothing more, no increase in ram and no speed increase, it is not possible.
