I need to race round nurburgring and this PC is doing its best to stop me.
I have Win XP, P4 1.4 and a Geforce 2.
Keeps locking up. Any ideas? Or is there another game where I can drive round the 'ring?

Have you tried the official CPU patch from Papyrus ?
This was released to fix problems some people found when running GPL on high speed comps (like yours). You need to be patched up to v1.2 before running this CPU patch
v1.2 patch here http://www.papy.com/downloads/gpl12_uk.exe

If you've already tried that then, erm, I have no other suggestions apart from maybe doing a search on dejanews or asking the spods in the rec.autos.simulators newsgroup ?

I have uninstalled, and reinstalled, and.................
It gets to the last bit of the install and says
"Failed to install wininet.dll"
