Cheap tablet ordered
Now first off, i wouldn't buy one for myself as i enjoy the fruit variety too much , but my mum's old Archos battery is knackered and i suggested a cheap tablet would be probably better than a new battery for a unit around 6 years old.
Anyway, having no clue as to any tablet out there other than iPad's, i searched for the most of today, comparing specs and prices, quality and reviews.
Ebuyer was listed through Hot Uk Deals as having a good unit for £80 delivered.

On going through the checkout process, i had selected free standard delivery, i was given an option to upgrade delivery to next day delivery and i'd get a free 16gb MicroSD card....nice, done. But the fekkers said we were in a bad area for postage(bollox) and decided we couldn't get the card or even free delivery.
Decided to hunt about and eventually decided on 7dayshop with a 32gb card and standard delivery at £98.98 total.
If anyone is remotely interested in how the machine is when it turns up, let me know and i'll update this thread. I may be quick in posting this up without having received it, but i've found a general lack of threads on these cheap tablets and figured it may have been use to someone....

Thats the standard for the capacative 7 inchers now. I've got one with the exact same spec, a NATPC.
I can't fault it, as I only paid 50 quid from amazon, saw it on Hotukdeals also. It plays video's well, but the image on iplayer is shocking. Same battery as yours also, although its not great once you have Wi-fi on. For the price though, its great.

Well it appeared yesterday and today i've had the pleasure of stuffing the sd card full of films.
Took a bit to work out, but turning the USB debugging off let the Mac see it in Finder and then i simply moved the files over. Bit slow, but then i never paid for a mega card...
Great looking little unit tbh. Perfect size screen for on the airplane(which is where it'll be used most) and very light. Responsive screen, though not PARTICULARLY sharp. Still very impressive for the money. Instructions are carp though, so if your not pc enough to do simple things, then i could imagine it would be a real ball ache.
Not going to compare to the iPad, because you simply can't.
Overall it's an eyeopener and shows what is capable for such little amounts of cash.
