Just treated myself to a new Mac - and of course nothing from my old Mac works on it..... and it seems you cant upload direct from Iphoto(11) (9.2.3) into a Picasa web gallery - which is where I usually put my photos - looks like the only way is to export them from iPhoto (once I've worked on them in CS5) into Picasa and then upload from there ? Although I have read some reports which says you can still do it with 11 but you need the Google plug in which I cant seem to find anywhere.....
