Hi all
I've set up a new email address with Lycos and want to transfer the entire contents of my Hotmail address book into it but don't know how to do it without painstakingly copying and pasting each individual entry.
I can access my Hotmail account from OE but not my entire address book, it just lists my 'online' contacts.
If there is a way of getting my hotmail address book into OE I could then export it to Lycos or if there was a way of saving my Hotmail address book I could then import it straight to the Lycos account. The Lycos account is vcf compatible.
I'm sure this is kids stuff for all you clever IT peeps out there

Sal,
If you open your Outlook Express Address Book, do you have Tools > Synchronise (or something similar)?
In theory, this should download your hotmail list into OE. From there you can probably export it a file and upload it back to Lycos (never used their e-mither so not sure of that bit).
I don't believe you export from Hotmail directly to a file.
HTH,
Chris.
