Free dvd to divx ripper
Im tryign to find some free software to rip some of my dvd's to a portable HD to take on holiday with me. (disclaimer:- They are soley for personal use)
i have tried a few programs and they all seem to be pretty ****. Anyone know any decent ones?

Handbrake will work if there is no encryption on the DVD's and I'm guessing you're talking about proper movies.
You could try installing VLC and Handbrake, VLC did (might still have on windows) the decryption libs within it, and handbrake would leverage that. It's how I ripped previous DVDs on my machine.
