Anybody else having problems connecting to the internet with freeserve on anytime?
Getting a bit pi55ed off paying so much a month to find out i only get an engaged tone!!!
All day since early doors I've had no joy getting through, so have had to use their no-ties number.
Anyone know or can help to find out what's wrong?
Cheers

If I'm correct the problem is not just with Freeserve it's with all 24/7 service providers, which is controlled by BT and Affinity.
I left Freeserve cos of the problems you're having and joined SurfAnyTime.
At first the service was worse than Freeserves but they've got better now
Ring Freeserve and ask for the alternative dial up numbers as I found that if I couldn't connect on the first dial up I could eventually connect on the alternative.

Thanks Nick
Didn't know there was an alternative number available for the "anytime" package.
The only way I can get on just now is through the "no-ties" number which is a pain having to pay for it
cheers

Just used that number you gave me and connected first time. many thanks.
Does this still mean i don't pay for the internet calls? Would I have to call freeserve to allow me to use this number as the freephone number?
