SSX
Has anyone bought this.
Loved the original on the PS2, the lighting was sensational on some of the courses, although the subsequent releases weren't as good imo.
Just wondered what this one was like as I may have a nibble

I'm playing it on Xbox and absolutely loving it, it's not as crazy as bright an colourful as ssx tricky but it's a brilliant game in its own right I've completed 3 of the deadly decents so far, the online world wide competitions are very addictive too, keep you going to shave seconds off your times or boost trick scores.
If you liked ssx then this is definitely worth a go.

I have it on PS3. I'd agree, it's not as insane as Tricky. The mountains are more 'realistic' (you know what I mean) and the jumps aren't as blindingly obvious. The learning curve is quite steep, I've only done 2 descents so far and I'm struggling a bit already Been a while since I played Tricky so it's taking a while to get back in the flow.
I've stuck to the old style button config for tricks rather than using the second stick. The ice axes and wing suits are a nice addition.
We played Tricky to death and I'm loving this. Perhaps try the demo first if you're not sure
