Hi,
My 13 yo daughter needs a new laptop she had a hp 6715s which she mainly used for video editing and photoshop stuff,the spec is

Processor - AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-58 - 1.9 GHz
RAM - 1 GB
Hard Drive - 120 GB
Operating System - xp pro
Optical Drive - DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM
Graphics - ATI Radeon X1250

As she does not really look after things i am not going to spend too much on a new one and was looking at this below as my dell notebook has been excellent but struggles with her video things,would this processor be better than the hp.

The processor is better, but I would say that memory is one of the more important things for video editing.

Going from 4gb to 8gb in my MacBook made the world of difference for doing those kind of things (and the same would be true in a PC).

We've got an HP Pavillion dv6000 AMD 64X2 and it does most stuff thrown at it...........is it running a lot of the usual HP crud in the background ??
