Default Desktop PC's that are water or liquid cooled.

I'm considering getting a high performance desktop PC, due to whats inside a lot of them seem to be water or liquid cooled

Ive always wondered about this, what happens if one of these pipes carring the water or liquid decides to split or one of the pipe clamps comes off etc.

I presume thats the end of your pc if this happens ? If thats the case it seems to be one heck of a risk considering the costs involved.

Normally the components are on one side of the machine and the pipes are away on the other, so the theory is, is that unless the pipe splits where it goes in to a water block, any leaks will drip into the bottom of the case.
Most proper performance pc's can run aircooled for over 4ghz anyway, just depends on which processor you go for.

The pump causes the fluid to spray everywhere and then there is a flash and a bang...

P.S. I run a Corsair H70 sealed unit on two of mine, but they are just as noisy with two fans running...
