i have just acquired a film in avi format and when i play it on the pc it is in english but when i play it on the ps3 it is in italian is there any way of getting this to play in english on the ps3 ? thanks dean

 

Check audio options whilst the films playing

 

only options there are left,right or left right together, i have just noticed about 10 mins into the film it switches to english

 

Didn't know AVI's could carry different languages, but you learn something new everyday.
Not sure what you mean by left right etc, but to get the PS3 options up when the film is playing, press the triangle button. There is a subtitle option, but maybe the spoken langauge option only shows when the file contains multiple langauges.

Iirc when you press triangle you may have a more options menu check there.
