Good news for me I asked them a month ago to upgrade from 10 to 20 and they wanted an extra £10 per month. Now I'm getting it free

 

I'll be getting 100mb march/April time.

the thread isn't pointless if u were going to pay for an upgrade tomorrow, and would be able to get the same speed in may for free!!!

 

April ish for me... damn this slow 50Mb.

 

I got another e-mail today saying they are putting the price of my 50mb down in April until I get my upgrade from July onwards, which will be up to 120mb!!
I love Virgin Media.

Mine doesn't come in till July, I'm only on the 30mb package at the moment as I rang up to complain that was all I was getting on my 50mb package and they didn't seem interested in sending me a new modem or resolving the problem so I downgraded.

As soon as the 100mb hits my way I will have it

 

October onwards for me so will have to make do with 50mb for now, sounds good though if I check adsl Internet on bt site I can only get 3mb on my exchange so glad I dropped them for cable.

 

Got an e-mail Saturday saying the previous e-mail they sent was in error. NOt sure what that means. They say they'll be an announcement in the next couple of weeks.

It made reference to 100mb broadband which I have never had, I've always been on 10mb.

 

people ' making do' with 50mb what do you do with all your 50mb you couldnt possibly need all that, give some to me. I got that email but then an 'oops sorry' email. so im guessing as im not fibre i wont see anything.

 

Yeah i got the email. The mistake was they said I was a 100mb customer but im a 50mv , don't worry guys we'll still be doubled.

 

im out in the country and by the sounds of it im livin' in pure luxury with 6mb. The sort of broadband emails we get are would you like to join our cable laying party?! wtf so we have to do the work ourselves to be able to get cable/fibre

Maybe a letter to Sir B. Sir B, while others are living the playboy mansion dreams of 50mb can those in the country with only 2-6mb but have to pay the price of 100mb and who have to lay their own cable to get it, can we shove some decent fibre down there for 100mb and get it free for doin the work for you? my 50mb is for my 6kids playing xbox online and 5 laptops and 4 iphones all at the same time cant wait for 100mb

 

6mb now that would be nic, until last year we had only 1mb now its been improved to 3mb. My in laws live in a big village but it so far away from the exchange he could only get 56kb He would be better off with tethering to his phones 3G connection
