I am running 2000sbs at work. My boss wants me to find an email that was sent to him a couple of days ago which should hopefully be on our server (Don't know why he can't find it on his deleted email folder).
How do you do this in exchange??
Also how do you view what pages users have accessed on the Internet with SBS2000 ??
Oh I must go on a course (know any good books / courses for 2000SBS)
Cheers

Not sure about SBS, but with Exchange 5.5 you can enable message tracking. All that will do is record that there was a message and not it's contents.
I'd show your boss how to search through his mailbox for it. If he's deleted it and emptied the trash, then it's gone forever - unless you would have it on one of the overnight backups.

Do you have deleted items recovery enabled on the Exchange server? If so, Outlook can pull back stuff from the "Deleted Items" folder from the mailbox on the server.

There is also an Outlook hack which will allow you to recovered deleted items from *any* folder, not just the Deleted Items folder as long as the deleted items recovery has been set on the Exchange server. Will try and remember to post it tomorrow when I'm at work.
