...OK, i work for a large well known company, work a lot of nights/weekends and have quite a bit of spare time.My works pc has 2000 professional,no decent software,no games.
Basically i'd like to install some software,ie photoshop or frontpage, to give me something to do in my spare time (no net access,at the moment).Has any one else done this at work?
Whats your experiences?
Paul.

I also work (well contract) at a large utilities company and it is a disciplinary offence to install any non approved/authorised software. All the desktops here are clones and maintained remotely. I just bring my laptop in for the slow periods..

Hello
It depends on your IT department and if they audit your computer.
Usually it is a disciplinary offence to install non-authorised (and especially "backed up") software on a work computer.
Steve.

Yup, defo check with somebody from IT or above you.
If they say yes, then get it confirmed in an e-mail just to cover your **** should something happen in the future.
