TOMTOM updates ??
Got a TOMTOM one v2 uk here that I have had for a good few years, never bothered with any map updates etc in that time as 99% off the time it has always still taken me to wherever I needed to go !! just wonder with the amount off new roads / housing estates being built it would be worth updating and just how useful the free updates are compared to the paid for ones ??

Ive got a fairly old TomTom 510. They emailed me about map updates and sounded fairly reasonable as sale 50% but was still £30 iirc. When I tried it said as my maps are so old I needed an initial update to get me within recent spec then the latest update = £60. You can get a decent enough new TomTom for not much more than £100 so didnt bother. Think mine was around £300 new back in the day

im having that problem now ive got a tom tom 720 traffic (has a traffic wire rather then built in)
its about 2 years old but map update is 60 quid thinking off selling it and buying new if they were say 30 quid for a update then fair enough but its a rip off
