hi i have 50mrg broadband with virginmedia my wired connection is fine but i cant do a thing with anything thats using the wireless connection anyone with any idea what is wrong cheers

yes superhub and as for anything else wouldnt even know where to start looking for that info

when i go into the wireless on my iphone the ip address and router and dns are all there it just takes ages to open a page same on my laptop

just checked my ssid is visible encryption is AES and the security is wpa2 and my speed is 5.5mbps cheers

nope got my wired connection in my laptop the wireless does work but is taking that long to load a page its sometimes timing out think i need to phone virginmedia getting annoying now

so just spent over an hour on the fone to virginmedia so when i complained about my connection problem and the fact i have been without internet three times in a month once for five days his reply was why does no one ever phone to say my internet conection is working fine my reply why should i need to praise you i pay £120 a month to use cvunts so he said the problem is that my superhub is to close to my pc well i cant move it as the engineer only used a foot of cable not happy

thats a load of bollocks and he's fobbed you off, get back on the phone. any other wireless devices you can check incase it aint your laptop?

1 xbox wireless 3laptops wireless 4iphones wireless all struggling to load any pages sick watching the circle go round cant believe his cheek about never phoning when it works to say great service sending an engineer out on wednesday as my wired signal is only on one bar aswell now sh~t superhub

download inSSIDer - scan your network and all the other wireless networks around you - move your channel into the least congested frequency.

Assuming that is your wireless LAN that is slow and not just wireless access to the internet.

Virginmedia Tech support was always rubbish i gave up and left because it costs a fortune to call them all the time unless you pay to have their phone line (so you can call their tech line to complain)

No software on my laptop its even slow on the kids xbox they keep getting kicked from online gaming as the signal is so crap
