sti-04!!

Does anyone have any ideas ?
My iphone all of a sudden stopped charging.
When plugged in this morning it started vibrating randomly & now tonight after power down it wont restart when connected.
I've switched the cable, then the charger & then to the PC with different cables.
Still nothing.

My 3GS started doing that after 7 months - had it replace FOC by the Apple Store.

Best take it in.

The Apple store will sort it out for you but before you take it in, it would be worth trying a hard reset.

You won't lost any data, but hold down the home button and power button together until you see the Apple logo - takes about 6 or 7 seconds and then release. The phone will then reboot and try again.

Usually sorts lots of problems

Was in the store this morning after booking a genius appointment, phone is out of warranty from aug 10th & allegedly its shorted at the charger point after getting water into it.
Any ideas ?
I disagree with the water scenario unless its condensation.

Just been checking about on the net & allegedly it can be fixed by replacing the dock connector.
Quick fix?

My 3GS did the same, managed to turn it on, plugged it into i tunes and did a software update and touch wood it has been fine since.
