You are all secretly Apple fans and I wanted to share my anguish.

I don't really do twitter apart from to stalk a few celebrities.

Mine fell off the table last week, was balancing it on something stupid. Got lucky will a clean fall and zero damage, I was bricking it for a few seconds.

Apple added motion sensors to the Macbook line a long time ago for just that reason.

I can top that.

Bought my wife in May as a wedding present a new macbook pro. She loves it but is a bit careless at times. The other night she went to bed and left it on the floor near the coffee table (a stupid place to leave it I might add) with the lid closed.

I came downstairs and as usual our ****ing car Charlie decided to play silly buggers and show his displeasure at not being fed at 6:30 am by darting in front of my feet as I entered the living room.

Cue me trying to avoid being tripped over by said annoying fluff monster and stepped backwards and felt the edge of the laptop under my foot.
Heard an ominous crack

Opened up the lid to see a nice cracked screen from the side, very little but noticeable
Opened back door, ejected cat outside and sat down to await my wife waking up and break the news to her. Very calm she was and as it is all insured, it has been taken away for repair.

The screen lid is bent at the bottom left hand corner and the top left hand corner of the body has a compression dent. Picked up my bag having forgot to close it at work and it dropped a couple of feet onto a hard floor.

Sigh.

You even have a name for your Subaru? And you keep it indoors. that's dedication for ya. As for a 6.30am visit to the Shell station I am amazed you actually manage any sleep.
