Anyone know if its possible to convert .asx audio into .mp3 audio?

Should be possible - but don't know of a program which can.

well as you know the asx stream never physically appears on your PC - its streamed in from another server on the net. The trick is to find a program that can dynamically record whatever is being played through your sound device.
