Default Have I got a virus?

Both Firefox and Google Chrome keep crashing. I get a message saying the programme stopped working and then down it goes. It comes back, but then goes again.

I've run AVG, which found nothing, Adaware, which found nothing, and Spybot, which found four monor things and deleted them.

Is it possible there is a virus I haven't detected?

Major probs now, keep getting messages that one thing after another has stopped working. Typing in malware into Google causes an immediate crash.

Sounds like what I had last year.

Download malwarebytes onto a usb drive from another PC, then run it in safe mode on the PC with issues. Worked for me.

I tried typing the web address for it into the browser, rather than letting google find it, which worked and it downloaded.

It found 14 infected files and quarantined them all.

Here's hoping............

Dunx: do I have to pay to KEEP it, is it a trial? Seems to find stuff AVG didn't. Nor did MS's own malware finder.

its free but you have to remember to update it each time you use it.
The pro version will live monitor and auto update.

Download this Combofix, great freeware which remove all malware.

Here is link http://www.combofix.org/

Now about AV SW,i'm not big fan of AVG,which is useless AV SW,i'm running Avira which seems working well and recognize all threats, but MS Essential is good too.

May depend where you source it from, but if the trial ends, uninstall and then download again !
