Default Any android developers on here?

I'm gonna turn my hand to android over the summer. Just wandered if anyone has trained or is already a programmer in android and could recommend some books/courses? http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...roid&x=11&y=12

I got "Hello World" to appear on mine and then decided I was too old and couldn't be bothered anymore

I just googled around and downloaded sample code with the SDK.

I've got two books at the moment:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yourself-And...5523602&sr=1-3

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Appl...5523602&sr=1-1

So far the Sam's one is quite good, but gets a little confusing after chapter 3 lol. Most of the stuff I've read recommends you learn Java first so I'm currently working through some online tutorials:

http://math.hws.edu/javanotes/
http://www.javabeginner.com/

Also the Android online documentation has tutorials and sample code:

http://developer.android.com/guide/b...s-android.html
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
http://developer.android.com/resourc...l?tag=tutorial

Also if you know Flash you can create apps using that and Adobe Air. iOS apps are also very easy to make in Flash if you know it.

So far I've made a couple of apps, but nothing useful yet. Got the SDK setup along with Eclipse, created a keystore for signing and also got my google maps api key sorted to build that into my apps.
