Hi,

Im looking for a good FREE file recovery program that will read off corrupted drives. My works SSD drive has gone pop and I really need to recover about 400MB of files (2 .7z files to be precise), has to be able to read drives that Windows "sees" but wont open.

Am trying HDD Mechanic and Easeus(?), both of which will read it but both pretty dump.

Any help would be most appreciated.

btw, its a 256GB Samsung SSD - the SECOND to fail within 6 months.....

Knoppix works well for normal hard drives, not sure about SSD.

ive had my fill of SSD binned em back to good old spinners in Raid 0

yeah there slower but Jesus SSD is shat lifespan is POOOOOOO
