iphone 4 yes or no or an alternative
ready for an upgrade thinking of an iphone 4 or a HTC the three deal seems ok for iphone 4 £35 per month 2000 anytime minutes, 5000 three to three minutes, unlimited txts & internet? £69 for phone 24 months contract
is the iphone worth it or is it hype, i had a 3gs & wasn't keen on it tbh

If you didn't like the 3gs, what makes you think you'll like the 4?
The 4's quicker and has a bit more tech (cameras etc), but that's it.
I'm up for contract too (and yes, I'm a BIG Apple user, but not fanboy), and tbh, unless the iphone 5 is out this Summer (rumoured to be), and it's AMAZING, I'll be looking elsewhere.
Either HTC or a 'Berry...... perhaps I'll return to the iphone in 2 years' time....

The iPhone 4 is quite good but not that much different to a 3GS (screen is obviously better, software is the same though). What didn't you like about the 3GS?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S which is really good but I prefer the Android operating system.
I would wait a couple of months and see what the iPhone 5 has to offer. As the iPhone 4 wasn't really a 'game changer' there is hope that they will do something special this time.

The 4 is still a fantastic piece of kit, unmatched in a lot of areas. I'm waiting for the 5 which will of course be better. If I had money to waste I'd buy a Windows phone.

Been very disappointed with my 3gs (it's quite unreliable, and Apple support has been rubbish). Not sure I'll get another Apple device now, even if the iPhone 5 is hailed as the new messiah. Looking at alternatives now...

If I was going HTC, I'd get an Incredible S or wait for the EVO 3d to be released over here. I've got a Desire HD, and I find it to be excellent, but I wish it was a tad smaller.

It's not the messiah, it's a very naughty phone
I'm personally waiting for the dual core HTC phones to arrive which should be announced today.
I'm still using my HTC Touch HD!

Regarding resale value - my 8gb 3g 18mth old with scratches sold for £210 on Ebay. Easily covered iphone4 handset price + cash in the hand. Who in their right mind pays that for a 1.5yr old phone I dont know but I appreciate it none the less

With the Sensation, there is no mention of a dual-core on the Vodafone site, it just says 1.2ghz. Where has Endgadget got-dual core from? Sounds to me that it's the same processor found in the DHD and other phones, just running at a higher core speed.
Edit: Ignore me, it's now annonced and has qualcomm dual-core
