Question

Is there anyone out there that can help me, i have installed some hardware into my computer (a pci to 1394 card) and have been useing it to move my digital video film to blank discs, my problem is i cannot SHUT DOWN my computer it keeps on rebooting, please help.

if you're sure your firewire card is responsible for this, try and locate the latest drivers for it off the net and see if that solves it.

If not contact the firewire card people and see if they are aware of the problem.

yes the camera is plugged into the lead which is in the back of the computer, i will ring the people up this morning, thanks for your help and responce to my query.

Hello,

when using my camcorder or digital camera was told not to shut down the PC or let the PC switch to power save mode.
Could not explain why

Thats interesting as i have been talking to the guy who sold me the hardware and has told me xp is meant to stay on and not to close down i think, anyway he is going to try it with the card in and see what happens, thanks once again.
