Question New PC - cant move files (with win explorer)

Well, after 8 years (or was it 9) the old PC was getting very slow and close to capacity.
Anways, just got a new PC, but it's not quite there.
Now using Windows 7. With Excel 2010.

Problems are...

1) Mildly annoying - when turning the PC on, number lock is not on.
Need to do this manually. Every Time.

2) Bit More Annoying - cant move files from one directory to another.
Says I need administror permission, but does it anyway after clicking "ok" button.

3) Very annoying - opened an excel file, (transferred from my old PC), did some work on it, then tried to save. Would not let me save the file. Said it was read only. But looking at properties of the file via windows explorer, it was not read only.

I presume issue 2 & 3 are related, due to permission level.

How would I fix these issues.
Thks. (NB Not an IT guru)

Not sure about the others, but number 1 should be in the BIOS settings.
You have to press an F number, or it'll tell you the key on the startup screen, and it should be a setting in there.

Hi there you have probably problem with permissions, usually you have to take ownership of the file/folder.
