A Couple Of Questions Needing Answers!
I've got acouple of people interested in my Desktop Pc. But before I sell it I have two issues.
1. When I/You delete things it goes into the Recycle Bin. Then you Empty that! Is there any way of Deleting it Forever. I know it can still be accessed if you know how to. Hate to think people looking at our old stuff. And it was my Parents as well.
2. The speakers with it are 2.1, they worked fine with XP. Since I've had Windows 7 they have stopped working! The lights are on and you can hear a slight buzzing so they are ok. I had to buy a new Netgear Internet Dongle as the old one didn't work on Windows 7. Got a £10 one great ever since.
I never sell things that aren't 100% and the same goes here.
It's only going cos the room will be a Nursery soon. Plus work bought me a laptop for Xmas!
It's been a cracker n all The Desk Top
Thanks for any Help and Advice Folks
Cheers Craig!

To be sure, you'll need to overwrite the free space on your hard disks to prevent recovery software finding old(delted) data. You'd be suprised at how much stuff these programs can recover ( including simple freeware like "Recuva" ). As deleted data is always present on the harddrive until it is actually overwritten by a new file. A "system reset" (I presume that means a OS re-install) will not wipe old data, it'll just delete the file table.
CCleaner has this feature to wipe empty space. Does take a long time depedning on disk size, so it'll be an overnight job.

Quick update after your help guys.
Downloaded that Eraser Programme. Worked a treat, Thanks.
Still can't get the speakers working tho.
Did a search for the drivers, nothing worked.
The 19" monitor I've got has Speakers in it. There not working, but i've never needed them!
Any tips to get these working or Drivers for the others.
Thanks as ever, Craig!
