Hi, having just bought a nice little Acer aspire Revo3700 to use in the livingroom with the 42" plasma I though that seeing that the pc does not have a dvd drive I could use my no longer used xbox 360hd dvd drive in conjunction with the pc , plugged it into the pc by way off the usb to xbox hd box lead and went into " my computer " on my pc and it was recognised as hd drive, problem is the 360 hd remote is obviously designed for using with the drive connected to the xbox 360 itself so what I am wondering if anyone here has sucusfully hooked up this device to a pc and using it to play software discs / dvds etc ??

just wonder if I will require a driver as such or with it being recognised as hd drive on my pc it is okay as it is ?? also obviously will require a suitable software to eject the tray / play / rewind etc.

anyone any advice on this subject ??

p.s pc is running windows 7

Hi there you can control ejecting/closing tray with W7,just click left button of mouse and you will there eject/close DVD..

That's easy,just click on Icon of your HD Drive left button and there you will see eject/close.

Perfect got it now !! be great to get the supplied xbox 360 hd remote working with the pc now - off to check google !!
