I should say that I'm new to gaming as a latecomer and this is my first games console (Xbox)

I had a quick play on black ops and was a little underwhelmed. I feel that aiming the gun is not very accurate and can never really tell whether I'm hitting the enemy or not, unless I'm looking down the sight.

The game seems a bit boring as well, I've heard so much about it and it just seems like a very random just shoot at everything kind of game

Maybe it's because I'm new to the whole gaming thing?

Have to agree.
My first shoot-'em-up on PS3 and it seems too vague. Too many movie scenes as well instead of action.
On the whole it's been disappointing.

COD is OK in single player but comes alive online.Blacks Ops is very laggy online thou.COD MW 2 is better online than Black Op's but has been badly hacked.

Cod mw2 ***** all over black ops, which I agree is very disappointing. I've taken my copy back and traded it in.

I was disappointed with black ops aswell, traded it in within a week and went back to MW2

I would suggest investing in this and get yourself online

Well it does sort of help if you aim. I agree though, it's pretty poor compared to MW2.

Thanks. I've only just started playing and have never owned a games console and ahem, am probably not as young as some of you guys. That's why I wanted to play with myself(!!) for a little while before going online.

So shall I ditch black ops and try MW2?

First person perspective games like COD are not the sort of games that you can pick up over night, they really take some getting used to.

IMO Black OP's is not as bad as people make out, ok it has its downsides but so do most games. I really wouldnt trade it in for MW2, thats game has been hacked so much its ruined it!

Take Black Op's online it's what makes games like this, thats where the fun is but beware you will probably have you *** handed to you!....there are some very good players on there and seeing as your not used to playing this sort of game will only add to the good hiding you will get...sorry to be blunt but its happend to everyone one time or another.

oh..... and as for age....im nearly 41 and can still mix it with the kids...

Does anyone have problems playing online like keep getting kicked from games and taking forever to find a game to join or is it my connection? Thinking about it though its the only online game i have a problem with.

agree with you on that onebc2 let's you use tanks , bikes, and the chopper if you can fly it think maybe if the others took a look at the game and took notes

OP- if your looking for a beeter game than black ops then forget mw2 because it's crap TBH, you are best off getting Cod4 as it's still the daddy and a good platform to get used to the game, plus the weapons were best setup on this game

Play Blackops on the multiplayer training mode to get a feel for it, then get online and start playing multiplayer, the 1 player game is ok but multiplayer is where it's at

MW2 is noob paradise, BlOps actually takes some skill

There are some issues (more on the PS3) but people obviously have a short term memory if they forget the following from MW2:

1) Campers
2) Boosters
3) Cheap k/s (Earning 1 killstreak from another)
4) Danger Close
5) Noob Tubing / RPG
6) M/L/C
7) Commando Lunges
8) Quickscopers
9) Laseresque guns (ACR etc)

Apart from campers (which will be there no matter what) BlOps has none of these issues and includes stats galore and zombies

As an xbox owner I hope the threat of shutting down cod servers on ps3 will give Sony a kick up the butt to sort their online service out and start blocking hackers.
Competition is healthy and I think if activation did this the ps3 would be in trouble as no doubt all cod fans would jump to the xbox

It depends what game mode you play, there is Free for all which is every man for himself, then there is many team based games with 6 players on each side. you will enjoy playing online what ever game mode you choose

I'd recommend playing Team Death Match first, at least that way you have other players to assist you.

Team death match on barebones pure for me! Its just fastest finger first with no perks or carepackages!

Not seen any bikes on the pc game as for the heli it is hard as fek to fly i can fly the uav no problem
