Default Sandy Bridge is coming...

So a £300 quad core CPU can out-perform the top of the range 1366 six core !

dunx is so tempted to be an early adopter, I usually wait to see how prices stabilise, but this time I feel like jumping in now !

LOL

P.S. My i7-870 is cruising at 4 GHz, but the replacement is capable of an easy 4.9 GHz and it's 10-15% faster per cycle too !

Dunx but these prices are little bit OTT(like CPU and MB),for power which you never use at real life(if you profi CAD/CAM,Adobe Premiere user etc.)
I have i7-920 which is still performing well and don't need any replacement, just new SSD will be helpful on some Pro Audio SW.
