Accessing files on main pc via a second pc ??
Guys looking for a bit off advice on the following - just waitting on delivery off an acer revo 3700 which will be used downstairs hooked up to the main tv via hdmi, have the main desktop pc running via wireless bb in the spare room, is there any programme that will allow me to access my files / software etc that are on the main pc on the little revo 3700 ??
the revo is using windows 7 and the second desktop pc using xp.
anyone here running the revo ?? any good revo dedicated forums ????

You don't need anything special. On the main PC, click on "Computer" and allow sharing.
On the revo, just type \\name_of_your_main_pc and you should be able to see the folders you have shared.

You may struggle to bully XP & W7 to behave, but as stated select the folder and add it as "shared", and if your machines are password protected it may allow you to share files...
Mine are connected, but because I run one 24/7 running BOINC, I need it to restart if it crashes, which it won't do if it needs a password, dammmit !

P.S. So I just added 2 x 1 TB drives into my HTPC and duplicate all files onto both drives... RAID is just another complication IMHO.
