You don't need anything special. On the main PC, click on "Computer" and allow sharing.

On the revo, just type \\name_of_your_main_pc and you should be able to see the folders you have shared.

You may struggle to bully XP & W7 to behave, but as stated select the folder and add it as "shared", and if your machines are password protected it may allow you to share files...

Mine are connected, but because I run one 24/7 running BOINC, I need it to restart if it crashes, which it won't do if it needs a password, dammmit !

P.S. So I just added 2 x 1 TB drives into my HTPC and duplicate all files onto both drives... RAID is just another complication IMHO.

would I just type \\HP_Owner on the Revo to access this pc ??

HP_Owner will just be your username not the computer name.

Right click My Computer and select Properties to see the computer name.
