need help asap, adding pics as gone

O.k i'm trying to sell on ebay, when i click on add pictures it used to bring a small box up. Now from that box i could take a pic from many sources, now when i click on the add pictures a new screen comes up and fills the hole page, at the the left is a search bookmarks and history, and i can do nothing from here.
also says search bookmarks and history in the search tool bar, insted off the web site your on.
My son as been on it and change some thing, but i'm lost, i have tried to restore but that come back saying it's not been restored.
